What is Slife?
Slife is a web application that lets you find out how much time you spend doing computer work - running applications, visiting web sites, interacting with documents, etc. Slife includes productivity features such as goals, that can help you reach your computer-related time objectives. For example, you might want to set a goal to limit the amount of time you spend watching videos online.
How does Slife work?
The beauty of Slife is that it all happens automatically. First you download a small application on your machine that observes your computer activities. This application uploads all of your activities up to your Slife web account in real-time. You can login to your account and visualize your computer activity patterns at any time. At Slife Web, you can group your activities by type (i.e. "Reading news"), view activities by date, and much more.
Why would I want to use Slife?
Slife is an excellent tool if you are trying to keep track of time in order to charge clients, or to simply understand what you do in front of the computer all day long. Thousands of professionals use Slife this way. Many of our users are also interested in finding out how they can work more efficiently and make better use of their time.
How much does Slife cost?
There are several plans available, from a free basic plan to a premium plan that costs $10 a month. There are no initiation and/or cancellation fees.
Do I need to worry about my privacy with Slife?
Not at all. Your Slife Web account is accessible by you and no one else.
Does the Slife client have to be running at all times?
Yes, the Slife client is pretty unique in that it observes what you do in real time. So it needs to be running at all times in order to see which applications you are using and how you are using them.
Do I need an Internet connection to use Slife?
Yes, the Slife client observes your activities and streams them up to your account page in real-time. Therefore, an Internet connection is required so that all of your activities are logged properly.
How do I cancel my account?
First, login with your Slife account. Click on the "Account" button that lives on the button bar on the left. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the option to delete your account there. Once you delete your account, you won't be charged your monthly subscription any longer.
Is the previous version of Slife still available?
Yes, and we have
open sourced it. This means that it's not only free but available for modifications and customizations.
